What we did in QUARTER 3:
During the first half of quarter 3, students were divided into two different groups. One group was put into study hall and the other half was put into the Maka'ala program. If you were placed in study hall you were assigned a 60 point assignment. The study hall assignment was about researching all of the different kinds of blood tests. If you were put into the Maka'ala program you would talk about all of the different kinds of masks your wearing and different levels of zones. There are 3 zones, the comfort zone, the challenge zone, and the danger zone.
The maka'ala program
When I was in the Maka'ala program the teachers talked about how everyone wears a mask to hide their true identity to show others what they wanna see. After that class the teachers really showed me that there are other people like me hiding behind masks and it's ok to show them because that's who you really are.
The teachers also talked about different types of zones. The comfort zone is where you like to be. The challenge zone is where you learn. It's a bit uncomfortable at first, but it's the stage where you learn. The danger zone is way too outside your comfort zone and in panic.
